Fashion Week Recap
New York Fashion Week: a semi-annual series of events in Manhattan typically spanning seven to nine days when international fashion collections are shown to buyers, the press, and the general public. (aka, the best week of the YEAR!)
After looking over the styles from fashion week this year, I knew I had to highlight it on the blog! For those unfamiliar with fashion week or fashion in general, NYFW is the biggest week of fashion in the United States! Hundreds of brands (global and local) come to the city to showcase their styles for the upcoming season. For fall fashion week, they showcase their Spring/Summer 2024 styles! Fashion Week is where we see the upcoming trends for the next season. It is so fun to see what the next season will hold and how each brand has their own spin on it. Below I highlighted three brands that really stood out to me during fashion week! These brands reflect my personal style, and have me extremely excited for Spring/Summer fashion! Hope you enjoy!
Designer Highlight : PatBo
RTW 2024
After looking over Pat Bo’s fashion week looks I fell in love! One thing I love about Pat Bo is how intricate her designs are. She takes very classic silhouettes and adds her fun touch of florals and bright colors. Her collection was the perfect fusion of femininity and boldness. Pat Bo’s draping techniques really stood out to me during the show. Throughout the plunging necklines, high slits, and cut-outs, this show was the definition of flirty and fun! Her pieces made me extremely excited for Summer fashion and I cannot wait for her line to drop in the Spring!

Designer Highlight: Staud
Staud is a brand I have loved for a long time! From the different silhouettes of their clothing to the extraordinary design of their bags, Staud is a brand I was looking forward to seeing on the runway. Their designs for Spring 2024 are just stunning. They had many items in these three colors shown in the photo: periwinkle, light blue, and white. I believe these colors will be everywhere this coming Spring! The slip dress, effortless look is coming back for Spring and I couldn’t be more excited! They also incorporated the basic white tank into their runway show. They paired this basic tank with many skirts to show the effortless style. Staud is a designer that always blows me away and this show was nothing less than that!

Designer Highlight: Ulla Johnson
Ulla Johnson’s runway show was perfectly unique! From the complex silhouettes, to the beautiful fabrics, this show was unreal. Ulla Johnson has always been known for their diverse patterns and fun silhouettes. The denim set shown in the photo makes me excited for what we will see more of in the Spring. The sheer blouse also let’s us know that the sheer garments will be back in full swing for the Spring. Another trend I noticed from not only, Ulla Johnson, but across all the runway’s in Fashion Week was the color butter yellow. This color will be everywhere in the Spring! The beautiful lace detailing, sheer/chiffon draping, and patterned denim showcased how talented Ulla Johnson is for these designs. Seeing this collection has me so excited for the unique items we will be seeing in the Spring!
